About ContentStores

We sell individual backlinks and we write for the people who run shops. This page says what that means and what it does not.

The idea in two sentences

Shops publish guides and lookbooks, then wonder how to get anyone to read them. ContentStores gives those pages a way to earn links, one placement at a time, with the price visible before payment.

Why a retail angle

Most link sellers talk to agencies and SEO specialists. Shop owners ask different questions: will this pay back against a 40% margin, does the guide go live before the autumn range lands, who is going to look after it in January?

Those questions shaped this site. When someone comes here to buy text links, we assume they carry a stock list, a seasonal calendar and a limited budget, and we write the guides around that. The gift guide plans are a fair sample.

We also assume you will check our work. That is why the checking routine uses Google Search Console and third-party tools such as Ahrefs and Semrush, not our own dashboard alone.

How a typical shop uses the marketplace

Most orders start small. The merchant sets filters for niche, language, traffic and Domain Rating, adds a few rows to the basket, picks a content mode and pays from the balance. Then the placement appears in the ordered links list with a status.

Some shops go on to automate. The API and the MCP connection let a script or an agent shortlist donors, with a person approving the payment. Others never leave the web interface, and that is fine.

Publishers use the other side of the same marketplace. They list their site, set a price, approve each placement and get paid weekly.

What we operate

A marketplace of 50,000+ vetted donor domains, each row showing Domain Rating, organic traffic, referring domains, niche, language and price. Cheapest placements cost $1, and the priciest rows ask about $500.

Orders can be placed in the web interface, through a REST API, or by an AI agent over MCP. Publishers can also list links on their own sites, set a price, approve every placement and receive weekly payouts.

Our data comes from our own crawler and our own index. We do not resell another vendor's numbers under our name.

Who writes these pages

The ContentStores editorial team. We do not invent customers, case studies or awards, and the worked examples in our guides say they are examples.

Plenty of the advice here is deliberately cautious. We would rather lose an order than sell a link plan that the shop's margin cannot carry.

How we keep the advice honest

Every guide on this site is checked against one rule: could a shop owner act on it tomorrow without believing a promise? If the answer is no, we rewrite it.

That is why you will find timelines with caveats, budgets labelled as hypothetical, and a whole page that takes apart a cheap bundle rather than selling one. Google's spam policies, the March 2024 core update and the link spam update of December 2022 are all real, and we refer to them by name.

Where we cannot know something, such as how long Google takes to count a link, we say so.

What we do not do

We do not promise positions. We do not claim any link is immune to Google's spam systems. We do not run a subscription, and we do not charge until you pay the basket.

Questions go through your account page. See the order walkthrough, the privacy page and the buyer terms for the rest.
